Ajax DoorProtect Plus Fibra is a wired detector that provides three layers of protection for doors, windows and other movable structures. It can identify opening through its magnetic reed contact, physical impact through its shock sensor and changes of angle through its tilt sensor. This makes it suitable for conventional doors and windows as well as skylights or windows that may need protection while left in a ventilation position.
The detector communicates with a compatible Superior Hub Hybrid through the secure Fibra protocol. Using suitable twisted-pair cable, the wired communication distance can reach up to 2,000 metres. Alarms are sent to the hub, which can activate sirens, notify users and forward events to a connected security company. Built-in front and rear tamper protection reports attempts to open the enclosure or remove the detector from its mounting surface.
An additional input allows a third-party normally closed detector to be connected, providing extra flexibility when incorporating a compatible contact, roller-shutter or vibration device. This indoor detector is supplied with large and small magnets for different mounting arrangements. Ajax Fibra systems must be correctly designed, cabled, tested and commissioned by an accredited Ajax installation professional.
