Description

Ajax ReX 2 extends the communication coverage of a compatible Ajax security system, helping detectors, controls and sirens maintain a dependable connection in larger or more challenging premises. Unlike the original ReX, ReX 2 supports Ajax detectors with photo verification, allowing alarm images from compatible MotionCam devices to be transmitted through the range extender.

ReX 2 can communicate with the hub by radio or Ethernet. The Ethernet option is particularly useful where thick walls, reinforced floors or the physical layout make a direct wireless connection difficult. Connected devices still operate as part of the same Ajax system, with alarms, events and photographs delivered through the hub and Ajax Cloud.

This indoor model includes tamper protection and a built-in backup battery that can maintain operation for up to 38 hours following a power failure. It is configured in the Ajax app and can provide a practical coverage solution for multi-storey homes, offices, detached buildings, warehouses and other extended sites. Hub compatibility and the proposed installation position should always be checked before purchase, followed by the relevant signal-strength tests during commissioning.
