Ajax LightSwitch Dimmer Bypass is a compact accessory for Ajax LightSwitch Dimmer installations where a compatible LED or low-energy lamp does not draw enough power for stable operation. Wired in parallel with the lamp, it helps prevent symptoms such as flickering, unwanted glow or failure to switch on correctly when the dimmer is operating without a neutral connection.
The bypass is intended specifically for Ajax LightSwitch Dimmer and is not a general requirement for standard LightCore 1-gang, 2-gang or 2-way relays. It should be added only when the lamp, driver and installation conditions call for it. A complete dimmer still requires Ajax LightCore Dimmer, SKU 91248, and the appropriate touch panel, such as SoloButton Dimmer White, SKU 91254. A compatible Ajax hub is needed if the finished dimmer is to provide app control, schedules and automation scenarios.
This product operates with 230 V mains lighting and is normally installed at the light fitting or another suitable enclosure in accordance with Ajax instructions. Compatibility testing and installation should be handled by a qualified electrician. The bypass consumes no more than 1 W according to the DDS specification.
